A Medical Assistant (MA) performs clinical and administrative tasks in a physician’s office, hospital and other healthcare facilities. MAs interact with patients to take medical histories and vital signs, prepare them for procedures, and explain different experiences during their visit.

Primary Duties of a Medical Assistant

• Taking patient histories and vital signs (blood pressure, etc.)
• Entering data into patient records
• Equally adept at handling and administering injections and updating computer records, good medical assistants can provide the support doctors and nurses need to do their work safely and efficiently.
